Scrapbook Albums
Scrapbook albums are a wonderful way to preserve you memories. The most common size available is 12x12 although some people prefer to work in a smaller 6x6 format. Make sure that the scrapbook albums that you purchase are acid and lignin free and of archival quality so that your hard work is properly preserved. Get the best quality that you can afford, after all you want your album to last for generations.
Albums are usually available in either post bound or 3 ring binder style. The type you choose depends on the book you want to create, we find that the 3 ring style gives a more casual look. Post bound books use screws and extension posts to join the pages together but give a more formal look. We would use this type of album for a wedding scrapbook.
Check out online catalogues for scrapbook albums. There is usually a larger variety than is available at your local store. Compare prices but don’t compromise quality. Look for unusual covers such as hand made paper or tooled leather. Choosing the right album for your project can be fun and allow you to really show your creative side.
